43.0" / 20.5 lb. Northern Pike caught by Chris DeMartine fishing on Sunday July 13, 1986 at 11:30 in Quebec, Canada North America using a 3/8 ounce Spoonfish -- Yellow Perch a Casting & Trolling Spoon

My biggest freshwater catch ever!

The lake was Goland Lake, Canada. I'm not sure if I hit it right on the map, but it's an 8-mile lake in the area that I plotted above.

It knocked over all my tackle. I was so excited I almost fell out of the boat.

Tip: drill holes in the spoons to create sonic vibration & allow you to retrieve at a slower speed for big northerns in cold water (Spoonfish lures had that feature).

	That's a monster! You must have had fun getting that toothy fish off your hook. Any photographic evidence? I would love to see it. Also, I just updated the software for another member and the system now allows catches dating back 35 years (currently to 1982). So you can update the date. Posted by Joe Pych over 2 years ago
