24.0" / 5.9 lb. Channel Catfish caught by Chris DeMartine fishing on Thursday August 15, 1996 at 03:30 in Mitchell Lake near Titus in Elmore County, Alabama (AL), United States North America using a 7.5" Black Worm Carolina Rig a Worm by Culprit Lures

I felt a bump when fishing my black plastic worm on the drop. I set the hook and felt the fish run. I thought for sure I had a nice lunker largemouth. I called everyone from the nearby party to check it out. Turns out it was a channel catfish, so I was a bit embarrased.

Good story. You should call them after you reel it in next time.
