Fishing in Florida on New Years day 2007. The Sheepshead bite was on. We boated several keepers including this 8 lb beauty. They are picky eaters, they use their grinding teeth to squeeze the shrimp meat out of the shell then come back for the swallow, usually missing the hook! It takes a lot of patience to catch them but once you catch a few you'll get the hang of it. They also feed on sand fleas and small crabs. Sorry I didn't record the length.
