a A Nightcrawler on a small hook
a Worm
Well this one wasnt the last cast of the night like the others, but this was the last catch. I was hopping the bottom with a small weight set about a foot from a crappie hook with a nightcrawler. The water was about 5 to 6 feet deep. I saw a bunch of small bubbles consentrated in one spot on the top of the water that was still as glass. I casted pased it and pulled the bottom hoping to get a bite. I pulled pased the spot and the bubbles stoped and I slowed my retreive and BOOM he hit and for a fish that only weighed 1.5 pounds he fought like a sun of a gun.
