27.0 lb. King Salmon caught by Tim Fancher fishing on Monday September 05, 2005 at 18:15 in Lake Ontario 2.81 km from Olcott in Niagara County, New York (NY), United States North America using a Spin Doctor, Howie Fly combo

My Brothers and I chartered a boat out of Olcott, NY on Lake Ontario. The lake had just flipped but we still managed to locate a few Kings. Unfortunately we did not enter the LOC Derby because this would have been the big fish of the day!

We were trolling downriggers in 90' of water with a temp of 63 degrees using a Spin Doctor and Howie Fly combo. This fish fought hard and took almost 20 minutes to land!
