On this day in january it was so very cold the wind was pushing our shack around and me and my friend greg were out of there so we pack it in and started to walk back to the car when naturaly the wind died down and greg was like lets just try it here so I drilled 4 holes got set up and geuss what the wind picked back up and it was just getting worse but we waited I was up off my chair tring to get warm when greg yells there goes your pole I got it and it was a nice yellow perch then greg caught a nice trout and we were out of there but It didnt dawn on me to keep any of the fish cause we didnt catch but two fish but my perch was about a 1\2 pound away from a state record I measered it and weighed it we got back to this fishing store we go to and the lady there was like you didnt keep it i replied no let it go she said I should have had it mounted i said no some else is going to catch that fish someday and it will beat the record.
