16.0" / 2.1 lb. Largemouth Bass caught by Dwight Aspinwall fishing on Tuesday July 10, 2007 at 10:16 in Long Pond near Parsonsfield in York County, Maine (ME), United States North America using a small black jitterbug a Topwater Bait

Casting off the dock with the kids. After hooking this guy, I handed the rod to Diego. In the intervening moment, the fish went to the bottom and snagged. I put on a mask and jumped in the water. Sure enough, there was the bass; he'd wrapped the line around a log. I freed the line and Diego reeled him in. The kids stuck him in a bucket for a while, then let him go.
