Dude, I caught a White Perch today, and it looked nothing like this fish. On second thought, this one has far too many stripes and lines to be a White Perch.

There is a way to tell them apart by their anal fin. The hybrid will have step up spines where as the white perch's 2nd and 3rd spine will be equal in length. Unfortunately I threw it back before I knew this. But I will get a bigger one for you Hank. So killer it's gonna make u drive up here again. I hear you can catch one every cast in a hurricane.

It's hard to tell because both fish are in the same scientific family (Moronidae) and share many traits. Both have 9 rays on the dorsal fin, for example, and the young share similar color patterns. Since both species live in that lake, either is possible. After looking closely at this pic I won't commit, but I will lean to White Perch yet leave open the slim chance it's a baby Wiper. Dave, you're just gonna have to catch a bigger one to be sure.
