was throwing nightcrawlers trying to get some catfish, and lo and behold I caught this 37 lb carp... It would have been a state record here in La., but I released the fish to fight another day. I wanted to edit this post by saying this fish was not weighed... I measured length and girth and used multiple formulas found online ...the smallest weight given was 37 lbs the highest was 42... I found it prudent to use 37...Maybe shouldn't have listed a weight... However, having picked it up to release it I can honestly say it was HEAVY.....

that is a big fight my biggest was only 12 and it was a beast to reel in they put up an awsome fight
