26.0" / 10.0 lb. Chinook Salmon caught by Brian Andrew fishing on Wednesday August 20, 2008 at 06:30 7.37 km from Gardiner in Douglas County, Oregon (OR), United States North America using a trolling with a flasher and cut plug herring a Baitfish

My father and I just made the turn to troll with the tide and that is an important thing to remember to all of you salmon fisherman that I see everytime I go fishing. You can't fight the tide or your bait will funnel out and you won't catch a thing. Anyways, I always drop my bait to the bottom slowly until I get about 50 - 75 yards in the water then I reel it up about a half a rotation. In this trip I just clicked my reel over and slammo, my pole had just been hammered and I had a fish on so this one took about 5 minutes of wrestling.(the bigger one) Then we stayed on course just traveling east and less than five minutes later I had the other one on (the smaller one) which concluded my daily limit in approximately 20 minutes.
