Went out tonite with a couple of buddies in search of some carp or really just anything we could really catch. I'm really just trying to find a few nice spots that I can fish from shore along the Mississippi. But tonights catch included 2 small cats 1 was a true "kitten" and the other wa a small flathead actually the smallest flat I've ever seen. Then a sheephead and a small carp. The smallmouth picked up my nightcrawler. We were fihing with a combination of chicken liver, corn nightcrawlers and crawdads. Crawdads produced nothing at all. I'm thinking that this will be a nice spot here in a couple weeks when the walleyes and northerns start getting a bit more aggressive. Posted by Ben Davis about 1 year ago
