using
a nightcrawler on a 2/0 hook w/treble stinksponge.
a Worm
nightcrawler on a single 2/0 hook with an stinksponge on a treble hook soaked in shrimp oil. caught 2 other notable bullheads within about 15 minutes...but this was the largest. the other notables were 5.5lbs and just under 5lbs. i ended up keeping 8 fish...all over 2lbs, and 5 over 3.5lbs! a good night, i'd say! ...and it was all finished by midnight too. I caught a 19" 5lb. 6oz. Blackie and didn't think it was close to a record for Illinois....well I tied the state record. OUCH !! Good job !! 7lbs seems close to your state record. Posted by Tom Sehr

Marcus -- thanks for pointing out the geocoding error... for some reason the USGS classifies this as "Montlake Cut". I just fixed with manual override. Posted by Joe Pych
