12.0" Unknown fish caught by Brian Shea fishing on Friday September 23, 2011 at 19:55 4.34 km from Brielle in Monmouth County, New Jersey (NJ), United States North America using a lure by Deadly Dick Classic Fishing Lures

This a frigate mackerel.

Our plan was to head to an inshore wreck and do a little sharking. But as soon as we broke the inlet, we saw a giant school of mullet be destroyed. It seem like everything thrown at it had a fish on. We caught this frigate, a bunch on weakfish and small bluefish, and my buddy caught a spanish mackerel.

It does look like a bonito except the lines on top are a little different. Its more in the albie family. The captain kept them for shark bait.
