Largemouth Bass caught by David Northen fishing on 12/12/12

Dosent taste that bad almost like a striper but little gammier. Almost like they smell. Zaterains batter dose wonders very good batter.

Hey I understand population control. and if people are going to eat the fish they catch then its all good. Whats a good recipe for bass? I cant say i have ever had one. Are the smaller ones better quality meat?

In some cases u got to harvest the bass so others get bigger done it before but only the 13 to 15 inch bass around a pound 1/2 . With that being said still sux

As much as it pains me to se another human eating a Largemouth or Smallmouth bass , select harvesting is the way u have to do it . If not the fish population will suffer because there is too much competition . I have learned you have to leave the bigger Females or else again the population suffers . take a few dinks and Under 3 pounders if u need to , leave the rest to get BIG .. I hope u threw back that 10 , those the ones u wana keep in she will produce more just like her ...

The land owner that owns the pond likes to eat fish so he lets me fish if I pay him for using the pond in fish. The pond was also stocked about 8 years ago but the population exploded in the pond and there is almost and overpopulation of fish. Very rarely do they exceed 3 lbs even though there is plenty of food.
