using
a 5 inch mullet
a Minnow
Using heavy surf rigs (NC Style rigs), we fished surf near appalachicola Fl.. Some days we had no bites at all other days when surf was rough, we caught a lot of fish. This day we fish w/ 4-5 inch mullet in a jetty, I nearly lost the rod when the red hit. The rod ripped out of the sand spike onto the beach, and into the surf. I dove for the butt of the rod after running for several yard on the beach. I was lucky and managed to hold on, and beach the fish. We caught several more bulls that day, bu this one was the most fun. Posted by Cedric Cheek about 1 year ago
