Me and my best fishing buddy went out for a night of Blue Cat fishing, although any cat would due... needless to say we hit the spillway at the wrong time in the season (dead of summer) and the gar were just falling in and tearing up the new spawn. Well all we could get was the alligator gars because they were spookin the cats we supposed... so we decided we're fishermen... we'll see how many we could land, and how big we could get'em. We caught 17 alligator gar ( many were similar size to one in pic ) but the one in the picture was at 3:30a.m. and this bad boy weighed in at 21 lbs. and was 35 inches long... he was fat! I couldn't get his whole body in the pic. Gar are nuisance fish to me but never the less we made a good time with what the lord had given us to work with! Posted by Matt Robinson about 1 year ago
