Working Downriggers outside of the Cowbanks.
Was hitting Small Mouth all day until this hit in about 40 feet of water. I have never seen a downrigger rod come up and then go down so fast.

A trophy fish, that was released to be caught again

Those are some beautiful spots on that brown, congrats for c&r!!! There is something special about releasing big fish, I don't mind keeping a few, but big ones should be put back to enjoy them again and again.

I also fish the inland sea but haven't caught a Champlain trophy like that!!!
