My son and I paddled (mostly me) around the ice that was still floating in the middle, but didn't catch a thing. After talking to a guy that was fishing from shore he told us that the VT Fish and Wildlife had just stocked it the previous Monday with a bunch of 2 year old Brookies.

So while I loaded the canoe up, I threw out 2 lines with with a worm right off the bottom. My son reeled in 2 fat 12 inchers and I caught the 16 incher. Yummy!

He had a hard time holding them up. I would have weighed them, but the batteries went dead in my digital scale.
