Great looking shoreline cover !! Sweeet largie, that looks all of 5lbs. !!! There are some fishermen on here that don't know how to read a scale...trust me. i've seen someone from the northeast post a 5lb. fish at 17"....hilarious

I wasn't trying to belittle the catch. The state record in NJ is only 10 lbs (which was caught not far from where you were fishing).

So relative to the record, that's a very big fish. It's a big one for anywhere in the northeast, where bass don;t grow at the same rate as they do farther south. Just a statement of fact, that's all.

I'm not on hear to try and meet anyone elses standards. This is fishing, lets keep it fun.
