15.0" / 4.0 lb. Smallmouth Bass caught by Albert Scantleberry fishing on Thursday June 07, 2007 at 12:00 in Kensico Lake 0.91 km from Larchmont in Westchester County, New York (NY), United States North America using a 1/4oz Fire Tiger Tail DancerM a Crankbait by Rapala International

My friend and I were at Kensico Reservoir in Vahalla N.Y.
Fishing under the bridge. We tried an assortment of diff
Presentations with not mush sucess.Kensico is one of the
Deepest reservoiors in N.Y.@ 144ft so I broke out some
My deep diving crank baits. Finally I came around to using
A Rapala Fire Tiger Taildancer which I had not used alot
In alot of places because it dives down to about 6ft.
On my first cast with it,I felt a strong jerk almost as
Soon as the lure hit the water.I pulled the rod upwards
And the fish leaped out of the water about 3 times.
I didn't know what species I had hooked until my friend
Netted him out of the water.I wanted to keep him I was
8 days to early before the season started.Any way I got
My first smallie.

Since I joined this site I have never encountered such blind hostility
Before one accuses people of infractions please be a on site witness
I know Henry V very well and he is as Accomplished Angler as there is.
When a fish swallows your presentation it will cause blood through gills.
As for my Small Mouth he was let go because there was 1 week 2 go 4 season
Every one is entitled to their own opinions but let's be respectful judging.
