20.0" Bowfin caught by Henry V fishing on Thursday July 09, 2009 at 09:11 near Apex in Wake County, North Carolina (NC), United States North America using a lure by Mepps

We are fast approaching major drought conditions again in NC, but a reputable source told me that White Oak Creek was in good shape. So I took a few casts early in the morning and hooked up with this fish. It put up one tough fight. I lost two more, including a whopper that grabbed my Mepps spinner back in the swamp. Anyway, I got a nice shot of this one with the "Pillars of Eternity" in the background to match my shirt.

We've been getting doused with rain up here in NH. Last couple of days have been sunny, but before that it was rain rain rain for a couple of weeks. I wish we had a pipeline to send some your way.

yeah I seen on WRAL where they are talking about raleigh is getting close to another water situation again, they were talking about a new rain catch system you can get installed in your home so you can use rain water for non-potable reasons like flushing the toilet washing cars, etc. our "wonderful governor" lol joke<-- just signed a law stating that companys can use rain water if they need too.....I hope all you guys places to fish down around your way dont dry up to bad bud nice fin too by the way...
