So I went down to Seaside park last week with my family for a vacation. My stepson and I did alot of fishing, we fished just about every morning! On this day we woke up at like 6:30 am and took the kayaks down to the end of IBSP to the kayak access path and we fished Sledge-Island in the snake canals. It was a great day for kayaking and this was the first time I ever went kayaking so it was a new experience for me! So anyways we paddled around the sand bar and in to the canals before we started fishing. We were both useing swim baits with teaser rigs, for those who don't know what a teaser rig is its a rig that looks like a big fish chaseing a little fish when you reel it in! We fished for about 2 hours before I caught this striper now hes not the biggest I ever caught but he hit the swim shad hard and the best part is I was useing light tackle my 6ft freshwater ugly stick with 30#power pro braid so he felt bigger than he really was. Now the hard part was after I got him in my kayak he was flopping around every where between my legs I just couldn't grap him cause when your kayaking you can't make fast movements or you could tip over! You'll be happy to know that after a few mins or so I got'em, I dehooked him, I took a pic and released him back to the bay!

I love those little stripers. We catch a ton of them in Westville NJ where the Delaware River feeds Timber Creek. Lots of Stripers, White Perch, Channels, and the occassional Musky.
