I caught this one about 15min after my first cast. I used the Charlie Extra Sticky Blood Dip Bait. After I landed this one, When I was removing the hook I noticed it was tangled with another fishing line, I thought maybe it got tangled with some line on the shore line. Then I realized there was another hook in his mouth from someone else, who was using Mono fishing line. LOL… (The one that got away). I only caught one this night. I fished for another hour after my first catch. So I planned on taking one fish home to the wife because she always gets mad when I never bring any fish home. This was the first catfish I have kept since I was a little kid. I was really disappointed when I found out my fish had 2 large egg sacks in her. :(:( That explains the large belly. I thought it was just eating good. I didn't realize, now is when the channel cats are spawning, because the water is warm. This was after I searched on the internet to find out when they spawn.
