We had a light rain last night and it raised the water a bit, so I decided to try a few casts on my way to work. It felt like a fall day and the cloudy sky brought fish to the surface. I landed 3 bass and this small bowfin. I went with the classic "trout and rod" shot." All I need to make it perfect is a creel.
