It was dead HOT "Summer Time" hour and a half into a good size state tournament only had one kicker in the livewell and the presure was on! It was a 9 hour tournament, and 2weeks in advance trash talking with all the other fishers , haha lol. First off hit a spot that i knew some fish would be and yea you know how it goes, missed 2 that blow the bait out the water and just did put a lil 2 lb kicker in the boat! ugh! Tried another spot that has been fair to me in the past but nothing was there! lol.The lake had been high for 4days and man i was on the fish, until the nite b4 the tourney they drop the water bone dry low! The pressure sets in for about 30mins intil this hogg smokes my bait and Thank GOD im on them now! Kept fishing hard with the same patteren and caught our 5fish and took the tournament with 16 and a half pounds! Thanks to the good lord above! We had 2nd place by nearly 6 lbs. This was my biggest fish ive caught, he was 8.4lbs in the dead mid summer, And all i could think about was if i had caught him in the fall or spring i know She would had went over 9 and a half pounds BABY! You said you caught a 2 pound kicker? A kicker fish in a tournament is when you already have a limit or one shy of and you catch a big fish to top it off. I hope a 2 pounder wasnt your kicker. Posted by Fish Master 4 months ago |
