Common Carp caught
by Albert Scantleberry
on Saturday July 15, 2006 at 11:00
near
Bronx
in
Bronx County,
New York (NY),
United States
North America
using
a imported sweet corn from Poland
I decided to hit Van Cortlandt Park and chose to start
At the entrance to the lake on the footbridge.
I was using a 8'6" Tica Steelhead rod MH 8 -2O Mod -Fast
And a Baitrunner reel Shimano 3500.
I just threw it out and leaned it against the footbridge
With my backdrag set moderately loose.
I noticed that my tip was bending quite a bit which
Let me know that something was running with my bait
I wasn't sure how big but he gave me a descent fight
After a few more cast I got a repeat hit in the same way.
Sorry I only had a inexpensive 35mm back then
God wiling this year I'll try to have some pictures.
