My personal best. She was massive. My hands were shaking, I couldn't breathe. I tried to get my fish grabber on her while she was in the water but her mouth was too big. I've lost so many bowfin in that hole. I think I lost this same fish a few weeks ago. What a beauty. It was an incredible fight. I was listening to some music...zoned out and when she hit I thought I had hooked a beaver or something. I got all caught up in my headphone cord. I know I looked like an idiot. Once I saw how big she was I couldn't breathe till I got as far away from the water with her as I could. What a blast. Posted by Mike S

Great fish! I caught my biggest fin out of there that same day. Joe and I only caught a couple of dink bass that afternoon. He left and I started throwing a 1/16 oz rooster tail to the redfin pickerel. At the shallow end of the big pool a head slowly materialized right at my feet. I dropped the lure in front of his mouth, shook it a few times, and he hit it. I landed him, but of course I didn't have a camera and I've lost my Boga Grips. It was 29" and ~9-10 pounds.
