by Acme Tackle Company
This fishing trip started at South Pond in Nassau County
I had just recently checked the Stocking for L.I. and
My two friends and I decided to try South Pond which
Had recently been stocked with some descent sized trout.
We slipped on our hip waders and tried for a few hours.
Nothing doing and we were a little tired from the walk.
I say this because if you fish South Pond then note that
It's a nice walk from the parking area to the pond.
My buddies were out of breath from the walk.
I forgot from my previous trip there that you had a walk.
We decided to leave and try the Upper Twin Lks in Wantagh
I went ahead and there was a guy doing very well using
A Gold Kastmaster so when the guys made their way to
The lake I told them to try gold and not silver.
Funny because my previous use of gold was zero fish.
This was my first time wading at this lake.
I got lucky and by the time my buddies set up themselves
I had nailed one but unfortunately we got a late start
And the hits had died down considerably.
I haven't been skunked too many times here when
The wind is not blowing too strong.
