Stormy LaRue (right) shows off the 3.28 pound 3-year old salmon she caught at the Winni Derby. This was caught on lead core at 2 colors. As you can see from the photo, this is one fiesty fish... still fighting hard even after the weigh in. In fact, this fish almost jumped into the boat in its last attempt to escape.

Also pictured is Stormy's dad, Jeff LaRue, showing off his pretty 2.92 pounder. Jeff and Stormy have been fishing together since she was practically in the crib.

Stormy's already a Winni Derby veteran. She's won a bunch of tackle boxes and 4 fishing poles. When Jeff unfortunately had a car accident that broke his fishing poles (of course he kept them in the car), Stormy promptly solved that problem by winning two more.
