19.0" / 3.2 lb. Brown Trout caught by Bruce Parks fishing on Sunday May 25, 2008 at 10:40 in Lake Saint Catherine 5.47 km from Hampton in Washington County, Vermont (VT), United States North America using a Black/silver 3" floating Rapala a Stick Bait by Rapala International

After an early morning start, about to give up as being skunked, we were trolling one last line north into North Bay on Lake St. Catherine when this puppy hit (I should say "smashed") the downrigger. Good fight on 9' noodle rod with 6 lb. test leader on 10 lb. test Power Pro line. Didn't have the camera on the boat (who can remember those kind of things @5:30 a.m.?), so sorry, no photo. This was actually the 5th fish of the weekend over 15", in addition to 5 "stockies" (10 - 12"), so we were very happy with the trip!

	Joe.... we were checked by the game warden on Saturday p.m. and he told me the state stocked around 200 two-year old and larger browns about 3 weeks ago, in addition to the usual 3000 one-year olds that they usually put in. Two of the five larger trout we caught were holdovers, though..........that's a nice sign of the fishery there. Posted by Bruce Parks about 1 year ago
