using
a corn muffin mix & strawberry gelatin dough bait
a Baitfish
Waited 4 hours with no action at all. I started getting agitated about the whole 'carp-fishing' idea. I figured ugly fish wouldn't be that smart, but they are hard to catch. Just about when I was ready to give up, the line rose & I hooked into a huge carp on my homemade dough bait. It stripped out 50 yards of my 20lb. test before I could start to pull it in out of Carnegie Lake. It was a lot of fun, but I don't have enough patience to do nothing for 4 hours waiting for a fish to bite. Posted by Chris DeMartine

Thanks! I used an old fiberglass blank that my friend's Dad pulled out of a trash can & made into a custom rod. Posted by Chris DeMartine
