Fishing for Bonefish
The bonefish is amphidromous, living in the clear, shallow waters of estuaries. Although it is caught for sport its flesh is not considered particularly good to eat.
Its range is worldwide in warm seas.
Weight up to 10 kg, Length to 104 cm. Silvery in colour with dusky fins - the bases of the pectoral fins are yellow. Heavily schooling fish, with some of ther larger individuals traveling single or in schools.
