This year a local group of Kayak anglers have started a series of Bass tournaments all around the the Piedmont Area for Kayaks/Canoe only. The first of the series is this Saturday at the Beaver Dam recreational area on Falls Lake. Last year we had  test Tourny were  14  local yakers showed up. I came in 2nd place. Come Saturday night I should be posting my first place victory fish, lol

Entry Fees Paid – $600          Big Bass Pot – $95

1st place prize – $240 + goodies

2nd place prize – $144 + goodies

3rd place prize  – $96 + goodies

Holdover for AOY Prize – $120

Inspire Pharmaceuticals donation to Heroes on the Water – $120

how do you keep your bass alive in a kayak without a livewell?????just curious

Brandon, we have to take digital photo's of each fish then at the weigh in someone will have a laptop to upload the photo's for verification. They have to pick a playing card from a hat before the tourny. That card must be included in each photo so know one cheats.

That's a good idea for a tourney. I started with the kayak fishing last year and really like it a lot.  Someday I will get a "real" fishing boat.  Until then... the 'yak and the canoe will do just fine!

Well, I didn't catch a single fish. I couln't even buy myself a bite. The water was cold, muddy and it was windy out. A few guys caught some, the biggest of the day was 7lb caught with a silver crankbait. I did more paddling than fishing I can't feel my arms right now. Give me bowfin anyday, I hate Bass, lol.
