I'm going to go with the Peacock Bass, awesome fish and a strong fighter.

my opinion is the redfish for saltwater, and for freshwater it would also would be the peacock bass

In freshwater peacock bass or brook trout in saltwater maybe red snapper.

Brook Trout...just like the one tattooed behind my left shoulder. No freshwater fish is even close, but Bowfin are definitely Tat-worthy.

of the one's i've caught- freshwater is Rainbow Trout, saltwater is Striped Bass.
