im jealous...there are HUGE pike up in Maine..Ive been doing my research on Esox Lucious aka Northern PIKE..a few guys who fish for Pike regularly that ive spoken to have recommended Large Spinnerbaits ie 1/2oz up to 1oz, Large Spoons ieDaredevils, large jointed Rapalas fished near weeds,..find a local bait shop and ask the locals up there as well......

Ad, I will also recommend large jointed Rapala minnows. I always upgrade the treble hooks. It's a pike killer!

very underated pike baits---soft plastics, fished weightless and weedless... Twitch a 10" worm through the weeds and BOOM...of course, lure can only be used once.....

i would use like an 60 lb floro carbon leader becuase the steel leaders they can see and they dont like that alot and storm redeye swimbait work good and any swimbaits spinners also work good iv cought them alot jst using bass lures to like cranks and soft plastics and spinnerbaits id also use heavier line just to make sure u dont lose it. the rapala shad rap works great also one of the big ones though like 6 in.

Chatterbait with a lake fork swimbait as a trailer work well in the northeast. I usually go with a darker green combo or a white and red combo. I have been killing pike all year with this combo and it works well for bass also.

What I tell people is to use largemouth bass tackle but upgrade a size or two. I've caught them on 1/2 oz spinnerbaits and 1 oz rattle traps but most of my pike were caught on large shiners and herring. I use 8 lb line with a 12 or 14 lb leader
