Our Maps

Dennis Huskins

Why are our maps so out of date?  Many spots are not on the maps at all. In my area of Mercer County, NJ  Most of the dammed up lakes and ponds are not on the Maps, yet they have been there since the late 1970s and show up on other maps.

The maps are from Google. Not the greatest but the price is right!

Actually, the geocoding is provided by the USGS... sort of.  It's a bit of a hack on my part, but it works most of the time. And again the price is right (your tax dollars hard at work).

Still waiting for the day when the site breaks even.  Maybe I can upgrade from my kayak!
