What do I do diffently for bass in July and August

I am still confused on what to do in July and August for Largemouth bass. Some say they go deep off of drop offs, some say they stay in the lilly pads and under the mat. Some say they get Lazy and don't chase buzz baits and spinners. Some say they only feed at night, when it's hot. Some say they will be at sping feed in areas and cold water flow points on feeder streams. What stratgies and lure types do our experienced bass fisherman us this time of year??

fish topwaters early and late...fish shade the rest of the time....fishing at night with topwaters can be amazing, but only if your heart can take a fish blowing up a bait 2 feet from you in the complete dark....
