bite you dam catfish!

Ive been fishing a neer by resivour/iragaiton dich. And i can see the freaking channel cats in there, but they just wont bite damit! I know its still march and the channel cats wont be realy active till it warms up a little more maybe april, may, is when they start to become verry active, but they are just in there taunting me! the more i go out there the more gas I waste and more money that i spend, but i think thats just it, the harder it is the more determaned i seem to get... Anyone got tips for those early season channel cats?

they do get lethergic in the cold water and school up prying on easy meals and tend to bite in those deeper pools. HAVE U TRIED CUT SHAD AND SHRIMP. for some reason large shrimp works well in the winter. also i had nice bites on shad. im going out to bv on the big lake were it meets with the smaller one tomarrow thats wat ill be using. i call it the bv special lol. its hard fishing but bigger cats due to the lower pressure on them cuz most dont fish for them in the winter. hope i was a lil help

What are you using as bait? Have you tried live bait?
