From what I read, Jig and pig real slow is great! a super slow suspended crankbait is good. Don't forget live bait. That is the slowest presentation of all!

ive always got the bigger bass in the winter months like after a rain they seem to lay on there beds geeting fat. little more work but i like to use a 6 inch fennesse worm lathered up in some crawfish kickenbass scent twichin it slow along the bottom somtimes letting it set mometarley it drives them crazy having a nice bait drag across their beds......tight lines

Well, Febuary is the worst month to bass fish in NJ. Water is way too cold, if not frozen over. Jig and pig(gulp) twitched in deep holes works great. However I've done best using live shiners. I just live line them on light line and let them find the thermocline. You find the thermocline, then that will be where the fish are.
