Stay safe on the ice!
We had some tragic news in Budd Lake, NJ. Two teenage boys fell through the ice Monday night and their bodies have not been found. The young men went out ice fishing after school. While the lake has frozen this year, the temperature had risen into the 40's during the day and thinned out in some places. I remember being that young and disregarding danger, but I wish there was a way to go back in time and tell them, "Hey guys, don't risk it. The fish will wait for you." So to all my Hooked-In friends, please remember to respect the water at all times. Wade safely in the rivers, know the tides on the coast, let the ice get thick, and when in doubt, stay on the banks. There's plenty of fish out there, but none worth risking your life for.
