New World Record Landlocked striper

Henry V

By my estimation, this guy broke two record: one for largest landlocked striper, and another for the best wife ever.

never seen one that big in fresh water but witness a 54 being caught in ca in the aquaduct near leardo hwy west of shafter ca. and they are tuff but dont fight as long as saltwater stripers for some odd reason. ocean stripers have the horizen to run to unlike landlocked stripers i think that has part of it. BUT DANG WAY GUY ON A LIFETIME FISH

Ocean stripers are (east coast wise) often traveling from Cape Hatteras to the cost of northern Maine and back each year (stopping to spawn in Chesepeake bay). They also fight the oean surf and current. They are by necessity very strong. My theory is that landlocked stripers are a bit more lazy and sluggish. Kind of like Native trout verses lake stockers.

yeah ur right cuz the stipers here in the ocean ride them waves and use the rip tides making it a lot harder
