My primary fishing haunt is Lake St. Catherine, in western Vermont near Poultney and Castleton. This is an excellent brown trout lake, supported by a decent population of alewives which were illegally introduced to the lake a number of years ago.
I troll mostly, using planer boards, downriggers and flatlines. Other fish caught here include rainbow trout, smallmouth and largemouth bass, and some of the best northern pike I've found in Vermont. My boat is a 20' Sweetwater pontoon.....very stable and a great troller @ 1.5 - 3.5 mph!
