i'm primarily a warm-water species fisherman...though i do also fish for walleye, pike, and musky as well. i'm also not above going after larger steelhead, salmon, char, burbot, and sturgeon.
i have the tackle to take on some serious trophy freshwater fish. in fact, i very nearly landed what would have been the washington state record northern pike. yeah, size does matter...and i will bulldog 50lb cats too. can't wait to be unleashed on the striper shoals this summer.
just like chasing tornadoes...i go for the thrill of very, very big fish when i can find them...and i go after them with confidence. if you can 'shore' a 12ft white sturgeon on the snake (just below lower granite dam, in 1994)...then there's not much else in the freshwater that you cannot handle.
good luck, God bless, and good fishing y'all.
